Help & FAQ

ChaseQueue without the guesswork.

Learn what a chase is, how quote and invoice follow-ups differ, how billing works, and how to install ChaseQueue on your phone.

What is a chase?

A chase is one quote or invoice you want ChaseQueue to follow up on. Add it once, and ChaseQueue schedules the follow-up emails until the customer replies or you mark the chase paid, won, lost, paused, or cancelled.

What is the difference between a quote chase and an invoice chase?

A quote or estimate chase is trying to get a decision: did the customer receive it, have questions, or want to book? An invoice chase is trying to get payment and follows the invoice due date instead. ChaseQueue automatically uses the appropriate schedule when you choose the type.

Do I need to change the templates?

No. ChaseQueue comes with ready-to-use quote and invoice follow-ups. You can leave them exactly as they are. Edit them only if you want the wording to sound more like your business.

What do the {{customer_name}} placeholders mean?

They are automatic fill-ins. ChaseQueue replaces {{customer_name}}, {{reference}}, {{reference_label}}, and {{business_name}} with the real details before an email is sent. {{reference}} is the raw identifier, while {{reference_label}} adds context such as Quote #: Q65657 or Invoice #: INV12345.

When does ChaseQueue stop emailing someone?

Future follow-ups stop automatically when the customer replies. They also stop when you mark a chase paid, won, lost, cancelled, or pause it.

When are follow-ups sent?

ChaseQueue respects the send time, weekdays, time zone, and follow-up schedule in Settings. The ChaseQueue defaults are ready to use, but you can change the follow-up days or turn individual steps off. Schedule changes apply to new chases and do not move emails already queued on existing chases.

How do I know ChaseQueue is actually sending the follow-ups?

By default, ChaseQueue emails your workspace reply address each time an automated follow-up is sent. The confirmation shows the customer, quote or invoice, subject, send time, next follow-up, and a link back to the chase. You can turn routine send confirmations off in Settings. Delivery problems are still emailed to you so a failed chase never looks like successful background work.

What if a customer blocks the emails or marks them as spam?

ChaseQueue records delivery problems. A permanent bounce, spam complaint, or provider suppression automatically pauses that chase and cancels its remaining scheduled emails so ChaseQueue does not keep sending to an address that should not receive more mail. Temporary delivery problems are recorded without permanently stopping the chase.

What happens when a customer replies?

Automatic emails stop immediately and the chase moves to Needs attention. The amount stays outstanding until you resolve it. You can mark it paid or won, close it, or choose a date for one new follow-up. The reply is forwarded to your business reply-to email.

How does billing work?

Your first 10 chases are free and require no card. After that, the Founding Plan is $79 CAD per month in Canada and $79 USD per month everywhere else. The public pricing page, Billing, and Stripe checkout show the applicable currency for your location. Once subscribed, your billing page keeps showing the currency on your actual Stripe subscription. Billing, invoices, payment methods, and cancellation are managed securely through Stripe.

Can I install ChaseQueue on my phone?

Yes. On Android in Chrome, open the browser menu and choose Install app. On iPhone or iPad in Safari, tap Share and choose Add to Home Screen. The installed app uses your normal ChaseQueue account.

How long do I stay signed in?

ChaseQueue refreshes your signed-in session automatically. There is no short forced inactivity timeout at launch, so you normally stay signed in until you sign out, your session is revoked, or you clear the browser/app data.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Open Billing, choose Manage billing, and cancel through Stripe. Your billing page shows the current subscription state and period.
